CLARIFE, Language and intercultural centre
CLARIFE is the language and intercultural center housed within the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the Catholic University of Lille. It offers courses, tests, and certifications in foreign languages and French as a Foreign Language (FLE).
CLARIFE also offers intercultural courses and workshops in English, French, or Spanish.

CLARIFE is run by a multicultural teaching team, the vast majority of whom are native speakers, who are committed to placing pedagogical innovation at the heart of the learning process. The team of trainers is on hand to support you throughout your language learning journey.
Languages courses
Le Clarife offers a wide variety of courses for high school students, college students, working professionals, and individuals: English, German, Arabic, BCMS (Bosnian, Croatian, Montenegrin, and Serbian), Chinese, Korean, Spanish, French as a Foreign Language (FLE), Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Sign Language, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, and Turkish.
Clarife is staffed primarily by native-speaking teachers who teach these 15 foreign languages.

Specialising in the teaching of French as a Foreign Language (FLE), CLARIFE* at the Catholic University of Lille aims to facilitate academic integration, help students adapt to French culture, and further develop and enrich their language skills.

The courses are offered as either extended or intensive programmes. A certificate of achievement is awarded upon completion of the course.

Our continuing professional development courses in languages and intercultural understanding are designed to meet the needs of professionals in an ever-changing global environment.
Whether you are looking to improve your communication skills, master a new language or gain a better understanding of cultural nuances, you will find a course tailored to your objectives.
Our programmes are led by experienced trainers. Through interactive and practical methods, you will quickly develop your language and intercultural skills.
We also offer specialist training and qualifications for teaching English or teaching other subjects through the integration of a foreign language.

Courses for beginners and advanced learners are available in 17 foreign languages: English, German, Arabic, BCMS (Bosnian, Croatian, Montenegrin and Serbian), Chinese, Korean, Spanish, French as a Foreign Language (FLE), Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Sign Language, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Russian and Turkish.
Teaching Knowledge Test
This Cambridge Assessment test allows you to demonstrate your level of proficiency in teaching English. CLARIFE offers several preparatory course modules for this test.
Intensive English courses
We offer intensive English courses during the February or spring holidays, and during the last week of June. These courses enable you to expand your vocabulary in everyday English, revise the basics of grammatical structures, and develop your oral and written expression and comprehension.
