The Faculty of Arts and Humanities’ international network comprises more than 100 partner institutions across the world, whose programmes are closely aligned with those offered by our faculty and enable students to study abroad. Depending on the programme, students can spend one or more semesters abroad, studying in the language relevant to their studies: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese or Japanese. These study periods fall under various schemes: Erasmus+, global agreements and bilateral agreements.

Each year, the FLSH welcomes around 180 international students from 14 different countries, providing an opportunity to foster cultural openness on our Lille campus.

Any questions?

Who is eligible to apply for a university exchange programme?

All students enrolled at the FLSH may apply (from the second semester of the first year of their bachelor’s degree) provided they meet the academic criteria set by the host university (minimum average mark, completion of certain credits) and possess the necessary language proficiency.

The FLSH has a network of 130 partner universities around the world. The destinations vary depending on your degree programme. Please see the up-to-date list of partners in our mobility catalogue.

Yes. The basis of the exchange programme is the mutual recognition of ECTS credits. Before you leave, you draw up a ‘Learning Agreement’ with your academic advisor to ensure that the courses you take abroad are compatible with your degree.

It depends on the partner university. Some require an official language test (TOEFL, IELTS, DELF, etc.); please refer to the partner universities page.

The partner university often offers a housing support service or university halls of residence. We advise you to start making arrangements as soon as you receive your letter of acceptance.
