Ecology at the Université Catholique de Lille
Live Tree : Socio-ecological transition
In 2013, the Nord-Pas-de-Calais Region (now the Hauts-de-France Region) embarked with optimism on Rev3, the Third Industrial Revolution. By combining technological innovations with new ways of doing things, the Region and all its stakeholders are committed to the transition towards a more environmentally friendly and sustainable region and economy. And it is this challenge that the Catholic University of Lille takes up every day on its campus with Live TREE:
- 1,420 m² of solar panels installed on the roofs of buildings (Rizomm, Les Facultés, HEI-Yncréa-hdf, ICAM)
- 21,951 km cycled for the metropolitan cycling challenge in May 2019
