A dual degree is a study programme that enables students to obtain two separate degrees at the end of a single course of study, through a partnership between the FLSH and another institution.
Juniata College (Pennsylvania, USA)
Students in their third year of a Bachelor’s degree (L3) or first year of a Master’s degree (Master 1) who have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Modern Languages and International Business, English and American Studies or Media, Culture and Communication may obtain a BA, which is the equivalent of a Licence in the United States. To apply, you must be enrolled in the second or third year of your degree at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FLSH) and have successfully completed every module from the first two years of study, without any need for compensation.
Juniata College is a small private university with an excellent reputation. Founded in 1876, the university is situated in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. It welcomes over 1,600 students each year from 45 different countries.
Liverpool Hope University (United Kingdom)
Students on the Master’s degree International Marketing and Negotiation have the opportunity to obtain two degrees in two years. One is in France – the Master’s in International Marketing and Negotiation, awarded by the FLSH itself – and the second, in Digital Marketing, is based in Liverpool, England. It is not necessary to have completed your Bachelor’s degree at the FLSH to enrol on the dual-degree programme.
Founded in 1844, this university welcomes over 7,000 students each year. It comprises three faculties – Arts and Humanities, Education, and Science & Social Sciences – as well as a Business School, where the partnership is based.
Christ University (Bangalore, India)
Students on the Master’s Degree International relations and contemporary History have the opportunity to spend their second year of the Master’s programme at Christ University in India. They must apply during the first semester of their first year of the Master’s programme.
This multidisciplinary university offers undergraduate, Master’s and PhD programmes in the humanities and social sciences, science, business, management, engineering, architecture, education and law to some 3,000 students.
The campus is a model of multiculturalism, with students from around 60 different countries.
Universitatea Babeș-Bolyai (Cluj-Napoca, Romania)
Students on the Master’s Degree International relations and contemporary History also have the opportunity to spend the first semester of their second year of the Master’s programme at the Faculty of European Studies at Babeș-Bolyai University in Romania and to obtain two degrees (French and Romanian). The Faculty of European Studies offers bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programmes in the fields of international relations and European studies, as well as European administration and management.
Students must apply during their first semester of the first year of their Master’s programme.

How do I apply?
You must complete an online application form in the year prior to your intended departure, between 15 October and 15 November, and notify Ms Valania by email.
Complete applications received by the deadline will be assessed on the basis of the following criteria:
- Academic results
- Language proficiency
- Recommendation from the academic supervisor
- Quality of the personal statement
You will be notified of the selection results in February/March.
