Presentation of Bachelor's degree Humanities

Questions

This is a selective and demanding program in the humanities, whose objective is to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed for graduate studies in journalism.
During the three years, there is a gradual rise in expectations, requiring a significant personal investment in terms of work, helped by the teaching staff, in order to have every chance of gaining admission to the best graduate programs and journalism schools.
Similarly, and for this reason, access to the course is selective and limited to 24 students each year.
Academic Calendar: Fall semester from early September to Christmas, Spring Semester from early January to mid-May. 500 teaching hours per year.

How much are the tuition fees?

Fees are calculated on the basis of taxable income. An online calculator is available. Scholarships from CROUS and the faculties are available.

Am I eligible for CROUS grants at the FLSH?

Yes. The FLSH is authorised to accept students receiving CROUS grants. The fee is adjusted according to the grant tier.

What is the pace of the course?

Full-time classroom-based course. A mix of theory and practical sessions at MédiaLab (radio, TV, print media, digital media).

What are the selection criteria for this Bachelor’s degree?

Admission via Parcoursup. Intellectual curiosity, a passion for writing and an interest in current affairs are highly valued. Good results in French and history.

Are there any work placements?

Yes, work placements in editorial departments, press agencies or digital media are required as part of the course.

What careers can you pursue with this bachelor’s degree?

Journalist, web editor, reporter, correspondent, editorial communications officer, following completion of a Master’s degree.
