It offers programs in the fields of Arts and Humanities, with a particular focus on three career-oriented areas: Culture and Communication, Languages and International Studies, and Psychology.

Which foreign languages can I study?

For all programs, English is the first foreign language (LV1). For the second foreign language (LV2), German or Spanish are most frequently offered. However, if you wish to continue a language you have already started in high school, you have the option to attend evening classes for your chosen language, provided by CLARIFE.
These courses will either replace the LV2 courses in your curriculum or can be chosen as a third language (LV3) depending on the pedagogical guidelines of your program; you will be evaluated at the end of the semester. CLARIFE offers courses in a wide variety of foreign languages.

The student population per cohort at the Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences (FLSH) is smaller, allowing for more personalized contact with teachers and administrative staff.

The Faculty of Letters & Human Sciences is an associative higher education institution with a state contract, meaning its government funding is limited.
