This Master’s programme is fundamentally practice-oriented and combines theoretical knowledge with clinical practice and critical thinking. This combination is essential for practising psychologists, both today and in the future.
Contemporary issues are explored from various angles. These include the changing nature of the conditions encountered, as well as the clinician’s role in relation to the patient and the institution.
The theme of ‘connection’ is therefore a key focus, both in terms of the forms that traditional social groups may take (family dynamics, etc.) and in relation to certain pathological conditions (substance abuse, eating disorders, the elderly, etc.).
Our partnership with the ‘psy en devenir’ association enables us to expand our range of work placements, so that we can offer an ever more comprehensive programme of study.
The Master’s in Psychology – Psychoanalytic Clinical Psychopathology, specialising in the psychopathology of everyday life and contemporary society, involves a collaborative process between the institution and the student to develop a unique learning pathway, linked to a professional project that evolves throughout the course. It is through this personalised support that students will be able to refine their expertise according to the client groups and contexts in which psychopathology is practised.
The Master’s in Psychology, for which admission has been based on application review since 2018, is the necessary complement to the Bachelor’s degree required to legally obtain the title of psychologist. Only those who meet three conditions are eligible for this title: completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, completion of a Master’s degree in Psychology, and proof of a 500-hour work placement undertaken during the Master’s programme.

- To refine and examine fundamental knowledge of psychoanalytic psychopathology with a view to establishing a meaningful link between theoretical knowledge and the questions that clinical practice inevitably raises

Is this Master’s programme offered as a work-study programme?
No. The Master’s in Clinical Psychology is a regulated course involving compulsory clinical placements in professional settings (hospitals, medical and social care centres, etc.).
What is the pace of the course?
Full-time face-to-face programme with compulsory long-term clinical placements in the first and second years of the Master’s degree.
How much are the tuition fees?
Tuition fees are means-tested. Scholarships are available. An online fee calculator is available.
Am I eligible for CROUS grants?
Yes. CROUS scholarship holders benefit from a reduced rate. This Master’s degree qualifies graduates to use the title of psychologist.
What are the selection criteria for this Master’s degree?
Application and interview. A degree in Psychology is required. Academic results, motivation and the maturity of the career plan will be assessed.
Does this Master’s degree qualify you to practise as a psychologist?
Yes. This Master’s 2 programme, which includes compulsory work placements, leads to the qualification of clinical psychologist, in accordance with French law.
